was introduced in late 2010. This product uses a formulation that combines vitamin B5 with a booster agent called
L-carnitine. When purchased in bulk quantity, the cost is less than $1 per day, or approximately $23 per month. Pantothen
is now offering an excellent supplemental acne treatment product called Hydra Deep. It is a lotion than is massaged into the
skin, then rinsed off with "warm water". In this author's experience, the Hydra Deep product was extremely effective
at reducing the accumulation of waxy sebum in skin pores and eliminating acne. Please note that the Hydra Deep product contains
salicylic acid, which may cause skin irritation if used too frequently.
 Dr. Jeffrey Dach pioneered the concept of combining L-Carnitine with
Pantethine ("the active form of the B vitamin pantothenic acid") to enhance its effectiveness. These two products
may be purchased through his affiliated supplement store, TruemedMD. From Dr. Dach's website: "Using the modified Leung B5 protocol with Pantethine 750 mg with 250 mg of L Carnitine
three times a day, we have noted excellent success rates in reducing or eliminating acne. "
